Description
Venolex cream
- Nifedipine 0.3% and lidocaine1.5% along with Imisurea 0.2% in cream base.
- Nifedipine and lidocaine (lignocaine) ointment, a combination of a calcium channel blocker and a local anesthetic, is used to treat anal fissures by relaxing the anal sphincter, promoting blood flow, and providing pain relief.
- Nifedipine: It relaxes the smooth muscles in the anal sphincter, which can be in spasm and contribute to the pain and difficulty healing of anal fissures.
- Lidocaine: It numbs the area, providing pain relief.
What it treats:
- Anal fissures: These are small tears in the lining of the anus, often caused by constipation or straining during bowel movements.
