Venolex cream

• Nifedipine 0.3% and lidocaine1.5% along with Imisurea 0.2% in cream base.
• Nifedipine and lidocaine (lignocaine) ointment, a combination of a calcium channel blocker and a local anesthetic, is used to treat anal fissures by relaxing the anal sphincter, promoting blood flow, and providing pain relief.
• Nifedipine: It relaxes the smooth muscles in the anal sphincter, which can be in spasm and contribute to the pain and difficulty healing of anal fissures.
• Lidocaine: It numbs the area, providing pain relief.

What it treats:

• Anal fissures: These are small tears in the lining of the anus, often caused by constipation or straining during bowel movements.
• Chronic anal pain: The combination can help manage pain and discomfort associated with anal fissures and other conditions.
• Other uses:
• Hemorrhoids: The ointment can also be used to relieve pain and discomfort associated with hemorrhoids.
• Pruritus ani: It can help with itching around the anus.

How to use it:

• Apply a small amount of the ointment to the affected area as directed by your doctor.
• If using inside the rectum, attach a rectal applicator to the tube and insert it gently.
